Northwest HVAC Shop Drawings provides CAD drafting services for the HVAC / Mechanical Contractor to create a complete set of detail, shop, coordination or as-built drawings. With our years of experience working inside the HVAC contracting business we are able to create the highest quality shop drawings. Our draftsman are actual tradesman who have years experience working in the field managing, installing, balancing and servicing mechanical systems. This experience is what sets are drawings apart from other companies and provides you with drawings for the most cost effective ways to fabricate, install, service and balance your projects. For a truly top quality drawing you need detailing done by people who have experience with the different facets of a HVAC project not just someone who has only learned how to drawing with CAD software with no experience with installations of different types of systems.
Bim Services:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) or 3D modeling is the creation of parametric, or intelligent, 3D models instead of 2D perspective ‘un-intelligent’ drawings. A BIM operates on a digital database and any change made to this database is reflected throughout the entire drawing not just inside one page of a drawing. BIM drawings can be imported into Navisworks for collision detection for not only other trades but also the building itself. We use the best mechanical industry standard AutoCAD products, AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Revit MEP for easy integration with other trades. We also use Virtual Mechanical Software on top of Autocad MEP to give us even more control of our 3D BIM project detailing to better match your company fabrication standards. This software gives us even more detail of the information inside our BIM drawings, this information can be extracted to provide detail material takeoffs for both fabricated and purchased items.
Lead Coordination Services:
We can also provide lead coordination services by handling the project management of coordination drawings for not only the mechanical scope but also other trades. Coordination meetings can also be attended by our company to help with project coordination and drawing revisions. This service leaves you free to manage your company and by not have to worry about the challenges of coordinating with other trades before the project starts as we can handle these service during the beginning stages of a project. We are based in Chicago area (not India) and can attend a variety meeting, not only just locally in Chicago but also the Midwest or anywhere inside the United States.
Coordination Shop Drawings:
- Detailed duct work shop drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Coordination drawings
- “As-Built” Drawings for record submittal
- Support for Design Build project.
- All HVAC shop drawings will show the routing of ductwork closely following the contract drawing.
- Ductwork will be drawn to match your shop standards. (ASHREA standards used if not provided)
- Dimensions showing ductwork and gridline relationship
- All ductwork will show size, length of each piece, top and bottom elevations. Fittings will show throat lengths, amount of rise or fall and amount of offset.
- Riser duct will be shown if needed including shaft duct detailing.
- Exact placement of VAVs, AHUs, EFs and RTU units showing access required for service.
- Placement of grills, registers and diffusers
- Equipment pads, fire dampers, duct penetration, roof frames.
- Drawings will show your company name, address and phone number.
Software:
We use AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Revit MEP software for our detailing services, this helps with coordinating with other trades, architects and engineers as AutoCAD is the industries standard.
